Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Jean Coleman Elementary - where every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and shine! It’s a true privilege to continue serving this incredible community alongside a team of passionate educators, eager learners, and supportive families. At Coleman, we believe that when students feel connected, empowered, and inspired, they achieve amazing things.
Our campus is dedicated to creating a learning environment where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and relationships come first. We’re committed to giving students both voice and choice in their learning, while also setting high expectations for academic success. At the heart of all we do is our belief in the strength of community and the importance of being JCE Strong together.
This year marks my 18th year in education and my 11th year in Midlothian ISD. I’m a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University, where I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Texas Woman’s University.
Outside of school, my family keeps me grounded and grateful. My husband Doug and I have been married for 22 years, and we’re raising four incredible kids. Drew (20) is a sophomore playing football at Stephen F. Austin University. Beau (17) is a senior at Midlothian High School and varsity athlete. Delaney (15) begins her freshman year at MHS as part of the cheer team, and Brynn (13) is entering 8th grade at Dieterich Middle School and enjoys a variety of sports. Our family is proud to live, work, and learn in this amazing district. We are truly MISD Proud!
I’m so excited for what this school year holds. Let’s continue to dream big, work hard, and support one another as we create a year full of purpose, progress, and possibility. Here's to an outstanding 2025–2026 school year. We are #JCEStrong every day!

I am thrilled to embark on another incredible year at Jean Coleman Elementary! Our school community is truly exceptional, and I am honored to continue serving such dedicated students, staff, and families.
With 12 years of experience in education and a decade with Midlothian ISD, I've had the privilege of teaching Kindergarten and 3rd grade, as well as supporting my fellow educators as an Instructional Coach. My educational journey began at Texas A&M University-Commerce, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, followed by a Master of Education in Educational Administration.
Inspiring excellence in our students is my greatest passion. At JCE, we strive to foster a love of learning, encourage critical thinking, and nurture the unique talents of each child. Our collective efforts make a significant impact, and I am eager to see the incredible growth and achievements we will accomplish together.
As we enter the 2025-2026 school year, I am confident that we will achieve new heights together and create lasting memories. Let's make this year extraordinary!
We are #JCEStrong and #MISDProud!
